Today was the second cake decorating class. We practiced roses and learned rope borders, shell borders, writing, and mums. I could have colored the icing, but didn't feel like dealing with the additional overhead. And just so you know, no one I know has a birthday today, I just wanted to practice something.

Thanks. I've wanted to learn cake decorating for years and this is the first chance I've had to take a class on the subject. I'm having fun. :)

Dual use

Some folks in my lab were sedating (euthanizing?) a rat the other day and put the critter in a conical bag (the nose end of it has a breathing hole where you can put a gas hose for said sedation). Think bonsai kitten but with a pastry bag.
