About The Christmas Cookies have begun

Previous Entry The Christmas Cookies have begun Nov. 29th, 2008 @ 04:23 pm Next Entry
We started making the Christmas cookies this weekend. Yesterday I made dough for Chocolate Crinkle Cookies, Lemon-White Chocolate Butter Cookies, and Peanut Butter cookies. This dough has been frozen and will be baked in 2 weeks. reveilles made Rum Balls.

In other cooking, for Thanksgiving we made Cranberry Sauce, Green Bean Casserole, and a Ginger Cake with Buttered Cider Sauce.

Also, I made Crepes Suzettes for dessert last night.

Tomorrow, I'm making Chocolate Peppermint Snaps for a bake sale at work.

It was an easy Thanksgiving for me -- we were merely guests, so our contribution was cornbread dressing. I made cranberry sauce to put on yeast-raised waffles Thursday for brunch.

Right now I have a "rustic apple tart" (you know, when you're too lazy to wash a pie tin or make a pretty top or anything) in the oven, and I even cleaned a 375-degree pizza stone ("well, I certainly can't bake on THAT until I clean it) without hurting myself, anyone else, or any of the furniture.

That's good. Our pizza stone is somewhat gross, but not too bad.

They taste like Thin Mints, even though there is no visual resemblance.
