I ordered baker's ammonia from King Arthur Flour, so I got to try their recipe from Vanilla Dreams this weekend. I give the recipe two big thumbs up. The cookies have a very crisp exterior with a melt-in-your-mouth buttery interior. I made them with vanilla-flavored sugar, so the vanilla taste comes through very strongly. This is a recipe I definitely plan on making again.

I also make chocolate sorbet and added some orange oil to it. It smells great, but I haven't had a chance to taste it yet.

Every year I go to Berolina Bakery in Montrose and get two dozen drömmar because the smell of the baker's ammonia makes me kind of queasy, but we eat them for Luciadagen on the 13th of December, along with pulla and very strong coffee.
