I made the Blueberry Coffee Cake from Lisa Yockelson's Baking by Flavor this morning. This recipe was a great success: the cake was very moist (something often lacking in coffee cakes), the fresh and dried blueberries made the blueberry taste come through, and the sugar/brown sugar/cinnamon topping crisped up during baking, which provided a nice texture contrast to the delicate cake underneath.
The recipe was not difficult to make, though I needed to pull out my food processor to make superfine sugar and the recipe called for more bowls than I would have expected. Still, the end result was wonderful and I am sure I will make this recipe again.
After this success, I'm really looking forward to making the Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cloud Pie later this week.
