I really enjoy drinking coffee. There are several things, though, that have kept me from drinking coffee on a regular basis.
  1. I can't have too much caffeine. While decaffeinated coffee is available, it never tastes as good as regular.
  2. I don't like buying coffee from stores on a regular basis. They charge too much money. And a small (or is that a Mini Tall Venti?) cup of coffee is usually more than I want to drink.
  3. I don't like making coffee at home. It takes too much time to brew and clean on a daily basis.
For Christmas, reveilles got me a Filtron coffee maker. The coffee is brewed using cold water for a longer period of time (12-24 hours). This produces a coffee concentrate which can be kept in the fridge for up to 6 weeks. To make a cup of coffee, mix 1 part concentrate with 3 parts hot water.

I like it because I can make coffee at home (less expensive), I can make the concentrate every 2-3 weeks (less time and cleaning), and the cold brew process produces less acidic coffee (I'm drinking coffee black for the first time).
